Summer, 2002
Turning 1!
When's the party???? We can't wait!
Good thing we don't get stage fright!
Well we made it through our first year! We are happy to report that we had a total of 2 colds each, no ear infections or other yuchy winter things. We have kept everyone very busy with all the things we have learned to do. Jake was the first to roll over, josh the first to crawl and as of July 6th, Riley is the first to walk.
We love Winnie the Pooh (that seems kind of obvious) and all of his friends. Elmo is also a big hit. We like to watch Sesame Street especially the 25th anniversary special. We love to play peekaboo with each other now that we are all crawling we chase each other around the room. We eat everything in sight, Our favorites are Chicken nuggets, Lima Beans and Edamame, French toast sticks and sausage. Riley and Jake have given up the bottle but Joshua still likes one before bed and when he first gets up in the morning.
We are good sleepers! We go to bed at night between 8:30 and 9:00pm and sleep right through until 7:30 or 8:00am. If Riley had it her way we would all sleep until 9:00 and often she does!
We had a great birthday. We had a big party with all our family and friends. Winnie the Pooh was everywhere. There were balloons and decorations. We each had our own cake and everyone else got to share one. We all had fun playing with them. Joshua tried to fling his frosting at Grandma Anne, Jake spread his all over his face and Riley ate hers one fingerful at a time. After soon concern about Jake not enjoying the hurray part of the happy birthday song, he came through like a trooper.
All and all it has been a great year and we know we couldn't have gotten through it without a lot of love and support from all of our family and friends and for this we will be forever grateful!
